The Notary
The competence of a notary public includes, among others, drafting notarial deeds, issuing notarial certificates, conducting succession proceedings, administering notarial deposits, and other non-contentious proceedings (e.g. order for payment proceedings, proceedings for the preliminary taking of evidence and non-contentious proceedings for the appointment of a forensic expert, registration of a cohabitation relationship in the Register of Declarations of Cohabitation (ENYER), termination of a registered partnership, annulment of securities and instruments, registration of matrimonial and cohabitants' property contracts in the Register of Matrimonial and Cohabitants' Property Contracts (HVSZNY), the Register of Security Rights (HBNY), etc.).
A notarial deed or certificate relating to a transaction may be prepared by our notarial office for anyone — there is no territorial competence restriction in these matters, and clients may come to our office from anywhere in the country. If you are bedridden or if other circumstances justify drafting the deed outside the notarial office, we may act within the territorial jurisdiction of Szentendre.
We have exclusive competence in succession matters; we may act primarily if the deceased had their permanent residence within the territorial jurisdiction of the Szentendre District Court (Budakalász, Csobánka, Dunabogdány, Kisoroszi, Leányfalu, Pilisszántó, Pilisszentkereszt, Pilisszentlászló, Pomáz, Pócsmegyer, Szentendre, Szigetmonostor, Tahitótfalu, Visegrád), and the date of death fell in the month of February, April, June, August, October or December.
